Making frames suitable for "Made in Japan" is Sanko's policy
The year 2003 is the 80th since Sanko Kogaku was founded. The main concentration of our business is to produce metal optical frames under both our own brand name and that of OEM.

What we have carried on is a policy of "Making products with which users would be pleased." Customer satisfaction is at the top of our list of priorities.

Eyewear products should be durable as well as comfortable to wear. That is what customers want, but it is hard to put into practice. So, we are working hard every single day to maintain a comfortable and hard-wearing product line.

As you know, eyewear companies have been having a harder time in recent years due to increased competition and changes in the market. The main reason for these difficulties is competition from products made in China. Many eyewear companies have moved their head offices to China and now produce inexpensive, though often lower-quality, frames there.

Our goal is the opposite, to design new and technologically innovative products, including frames made from lighter, more durable materials, and to invest in quality, in contrast to the cheap, disposable product originating in other Asian nations. Our style is to make an optical frame which can proudly bear the words "Made in Japan."
Our present goal is to develop a market in China, while still maintaining the quality and innovation for which our company is known.
We established our Planning Section in 1991 and this has made it possible to market products developed in-house. As a result of the work of the Planning Section it has been possible to introduce the Sanko-originated brands, "DUN" and "SlenD."

Our new products have received excellent evaluations from retail stores and consumers in Europe and North America. We are proud of not only the design, but also of the innovative materials used in manufacturing our product line (eg. metal used for F1 racecars or aircraft).

Our present goal is to attract a portion of the Chinese eyewear market. China has one sixth of the world population, and is potentially the largest single market on Earth. Like Japan and the Western World, they may also be attracted to a quality product rather than a cheaper, but less durable or comfortable one.

Despite the increased concentration on planning and expanded markets in recent years, our main focus remains the production of quality optical frames. We have not forgotten our original goals. We continue to produce high-quality frames as we have for generations, and every day offer them to consumers in more different nations around the world.
